KGL ENGLISH CONTEST
I participated in the KGL English Contest 2021. The level I chose was B2 and the competition had stages. In the first stage, I gave a reading test with the test having several parts, where each part used a different method to test my reading skills. The second stage was the writing stage, where I was supposed to write an essay on a given topic. At the end of the competition, I was ranked among the top 10% students of the B2 level and was awarded a medal and a certificate.
GLOBAL SOCIAL LEADERS
I participated in the GSL Global Goals Competition 2020 - 2021. It started in October 2020 and ended in June 2021. We were a team of three, with me being the team's leader. The name of our team was 'The Trailblazers' Our start-up was aimed at digital learning and earning and we taught 50 different digital skills including ways to make money online. I developed the website for our initiative which was named as the Digital Skills Society. Around 450 teams from around the world participated in the competition and we ended up in the semi-final. My team was awarded the "Commended for Learning Award" and each member was given a participation certificate.
IOWA STATE COMPETITION
I participated in the IOWA State Competition, Start Something Challenge. My twin and I teamed up for this competition and took a social welfare initiative, Donate for Tomorrow. We raised more than 16,000 PKR and carried out three projects in this initiative. Alongside, we carried out a Winter Clothing Drive and a COVID-19 Awareness Campaign. Moreover, our Water Cooler Installation project is in progress. We qualified for this initiative and were awarded certificates
IMAGINE JUNIOR CUP
In this international competition, I developed a Flappy Bird game which was created in the LOVE2D game engine. This game was written in the Lua programming language and was had features such as score tracking and pipe position variation. It also used the jump animation and background movement.
